Tactical Response Team Leader
( TRTL )
Course Outline
This program covers the basic underpinning knowledge and initial response actions expected to be undertaken by personnel who are designated as being the leader of a Tactical Response Team during an emergency. It is designed to identify warning signs, prevent, or minimise negative impacts of an incident and communicate the situation to all relevant parties.
Course Aim
To equip learners with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to perform the roles of Tactical Response Team Leader effectively. Keeping Human Factors as a Priority in Command and Control.
Course Objectives
To develop awareness and understanding in critical areas such as:
- Preparedness.
- Initiating an organised Initial Response.
- Basic First Aid and casualty handling.
- Communications and leadership.
- Fire Safety and Hazard identification.
Appraisal Process
This is a no pass or fail outcome, however instructors will reinforce Learner understanding by way of an Appraisal.
Certification
Learners will receive a WGGOA Certificate Level 3 for Tactical Response Team Leader.
Pre-requisite
The TRTM program must have been completed.
