This product is an Offshore Academy “short course” developed to provide the learners with the knowledge, introduction to experience, administrative, compliance and management skills, required to effectively & efficiently maintain the Emergency Command Centre at “immediate notice” and state of readiness.
The aim is to educate each learner through, interactive presentations, case studies, introduction to industry regulatory and compliance guidelines, followed by practical appraisal with constructive feedback, in a real ECC environment.
The objectives of the EC3 skills training, that each learner will understand and able to demonstrate are:
Due to the duration of the EC3 short course delivery period over two full days it is preferred that the learners are already in the ECC coordinator role, part of the companies HSE group and or has good understanding of either or both Emergency Response Operations & Health Safety Environment within the industry.
Course size is not less than 6 and a maximum of 12
Learners will be given a written exam after day 1, theory session and appraised at least once in the ECC Co-Ordinator role and be a contributing team member during other learners formal appraisal. Appraisal are conducted Through “performance evaluation” observation and using a customized checklist, with verbal instructor feedback covering all learning modules and their expected outcomes.
Learners will receive a WGG Offshore Academy endorsed Certificate in “Emergency Command Centre Coordinator”.
Though there is no formal expiry date for this certification, it is suggested that the EC3 short course is attended as a refresher by the learner when he/she starts work at a new location within the company.
