Working at Height Training
( WAH )

Course Outline

This course provides participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to work safely at height in industrial environments. The training covers international fall protection standards (OSHA / EN / ANSI), hazard identification, fall protection systems, proper use of personal fall arrest equipment, Fall Factor principles, anchor selection, and emergency response awareness.

The program combines classroom instruction with practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises to ensure participants can safely inspect, wear, connect, and operate fall protection equipment.

Aim

To equip workers with the competency to identify fall hazards, apply appropriate fall protection methods, and perform work at height safely in accordance with recognized international standards.

Pre-requisite, Preferred Learner Experience & Duration

  • Medically fit to work at height.
  • Minimum recommended age: 18 years old.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety.
  • Appropriate PPE required for practical session.
  • Course size is not less than 4 and a maximum of 12

Assessment Process

a) Written Assessment

  • Format: Multiple-choice and short-answer questions
  • Passing Mark: Minimum 80% 

b) Practical Skills Assessment

Participants will be Direct observation and evaluated during practical exercises, including:

  • Harness inspection and fitting
  • Correct anchor connection
  • Safe movement at height

Certification​

Learners will receive a WGG Offshore Academy endorsed Certificate in “Working at Height  (WAH)”.

Validity & Refresher

  • Certificate validity: Recommended 2 Years.
  • Refresher required: – Every 2 years
