The SCAFFOLD & LADDER APPRECIATION COURSE training is designed for:
• Yard management staff.
• Yard supervisors who have a responsibility for scaffolding.
• Safety Officers.
Course Outline
This programme is designed for those involved in scaffolding operations in a shipyard or fabrication yard. The course is designed as a safety awareness appreciation course rather than being a compliance-based training programme. It is the responsibility of the employer and its employees to comply with all relevant OSHA/safety rules and regulations, as well as formal discipline training requirements in the jurisdiction in which they work.

After this training, the Learners should be able to:

- Understand what industry accepted fall protection norms are.
- Understand how to prevent falls from ladders and scaffolds.
- Understand the proper use and set-up of ladders.
