If you are viewing this “special message” from following the link in the email you were sent, then I think it is important that I share some of history of how you got here.
Your interest to get this far, is very much appreciated, the real benefit is in bringing the IRMR Performance Package back to your business and including it as part of your own product library. My role then becomes, supporting you to give it every opportunity to be as successful for you as it has been for my clients here in SE Asia.
We already share a professional relationship as part of the OPITO Global Training Providers in Industry, let’s take the next step to enhance the relationship.
Dato Tim Allsop
Principle & Founder Wild Geese Group & Offshore Academy
The Wild Geese Group has been a pioneering & leading provider in Incident Command Systems across all three ER severity levels.
ER Level 1 Major Emergency Management since 2004
Consultancy and deployment across worldwide operations
This includes OPITO Major Emergency Management, competency training & assessment at ER level 1 for operators/supervisors & management working in the Oil & Gas industry sector since 2004.
This was done independently under our own brand and identity and for the most part, as consultants in support of other larger and more established offshore safety training companies, who wanted to include MOME to their course library, but didn’t have the capability.
Just like how we find, process and move oil around the world, our part of the industry also saw us working anywhere & everywhere we were needed or was asked to travel and support.
We have never sat back and let things that are out of our direct control dictate our destiny or limit our commitment to industry. We are constantly looking at how, change is impacting business, lifestyles, workflows, attitudes & behaviours. Success to us, is how we can contribute to “positive progress & development”.
There is very little about how we go about life today that has remained the same from how we lived less than ten years ago, it is the acceptance of this, combined with the generational shift in the human capital that leads to needing to be more adaptive & inclusive of what is now available to us, and if it isn’t available, then it needs to be made for use, or we do things differently. Because our business is so specialized, and our clients look to us, for solutions to their challenges, our philosophy is simple, if we need it, we will build it ourselves. We build it for our use and then show our clients in industry how; they can also benefit from it.
We have split our business into 2 parallel businesses; one is to remain connected with the past, more traditional methods, practices that are already in place, this is important to us, and wont stop.
The other business is using what we have available from the lessons learnt in training & assessment of competency and connecting it all together through better alignment, that is now available to us and essential to how our clients manage their capability outputs and compliance registers.
Training is no longer limited to the “classroom” nor is it only measured in examinations. Every business that is successful in today’s world has found a way to blend, what used to be platforms into a ramping approach. This penetration to identify change or alternative options must go all the way back to, where we work, offshore work needs to be better aligned to onshore work activities, specialized roles need to be measured, valued and rated on the same set of scales, same language, same cross industry acceptance and value of not only competency, but capability and experience.
I did not “reinvent the wheel” nor am I in competition to anyone or any other similar product developer. Remembering that “competition brings out the best in products to market” the IRMR has been designed to complement, integrate into what is currently in market and extend its value, purpose and presence in industry.
When you have been both an “end user”, and an educator and been using the same tools for over two decades, you will find yourself, deconstructing and then re-assembling every part of what is common to you with modern parts, components to make your job easier, the process more effective and ultimately extending relevance and life span of the trade & service you provide to your industry.
I have given the “stand alone” Major Emergency Management competency assessment for single industry a more permanent identity, re-in forced it and built it into the IRMR ecosystem family that strengthens the job it was built to do post Piper Alpha. A lot has changed in our industry and the world of business in nearly the forty years, these advancements, modernization changes, upgrades, call them what you want, but they are long overdue.
The IRMR has been built for purpose and will meet the industry needs and beyond. Bringing Competency, Capability & Compliance under one manageable process, adding more weight to the subject matter content, delivery including management of change and letting digital technology drive more of the auditing parts of the multi-user engagement process.
The future for us started during COVID, we made major changes to how we needed to adapt and part of that was taking more control of what we believe we have to offer industry.
What we needed hadn’t been developed, and some of it still isn’t developed, so we built it. We have been offering IRMR PP for two years so far, it has met all our criteria including customer satisfaction. We are now ready to take it global, beyond our region of location of business, our own digital platform Trident 360 allows us to be fully integrated. Beyond offering training products, we now include services to support training, and live operational ER activation support to industry operators.
NOCN was chosen to support us in this journey, their contribution has been a major contributing factor to our success story, it was a “shark tank” moment and allowed us to understand parts of the business which we were not “line of fire” involved in, the past.
It is important to appreciate, that at times industry doesn’t know what it needs, this is across the board, for details and expertise they turn to outsiders, who they consider to be SME in the field. The IRMR is the product but by people who worked in the industry and now support the industry in a very specialized field of ICS & ER.
Many of the products & services (new provision altogether) do not appear on any mandated competency development matrix, that does not mean it is not needed, but simply means, it is left to the operator themselves to “make things work” which we then need to “fit into what we provide them” as a mandated course. the whole model needed a restructuring but still be identifiable and achievable to a completely different generation.
The IRMR “Performance Package” is how the present sets the speed, direction of the future in Emergency Response in our industry. Next Generation & Hybrid modelling built in and onto existing landscapes, if any of this interests you to be part of the future and grow your business by applying for an “Authorized Outlet” as part of our Supply Chain Management Business Activities Program, we would welcome the interest, because you are already an OPITO TP, allows us to step off on the right foot and get down to business. Focusing more on the integration and less about the introduction.
Our AOOA program, has been designed to value the relationship beyond, appointing you a point of sale for our products & services. We value your input, commitment, involvement and contributions to a shared experience and shared growth model, a real partnership to joint capability.
Again thanks for the interest, I look forward to bringing you onboard as an AO, we are ready to partner-up and support you to make it work.
