The CRANE & RIGGING APPRECIATION COURSE training is designed for:
• Yard management staff.
• Yard supervisors who have a responsibility for cranes and rigging.
• Safety Officers.
Course Outline
This programme is designed for those involved in crane and rigging operations in a shipyard or fabrication yard. The course is designed as a safety awareness appreciation course rather than being a compliance-based training programme. It is the responsibility of the employer and its employees to comply with all relevant OSHA/safety rules and regulations, as well as formal discipline training requirements in the jurisdiction in which they work.

After this training, the Learners should be able to:

- Appreciate how various hazards can lead to serious accidents.
- Appreciate how planning is critical to ensuring safety of crane operations.

- Appreciate the benefits concerning the proper storage and maintenance of lifting equipment.
- Appreciate the importance of tagging and identifications of lifting slings and shackles.
